Course Description:

This session will show why engaging people with I/DD and Dementia in activities is important and teach participants how to interact and plan activities during each stage of dementia. Involvement in structured and routine activities can decrease agitation and increase mood, and provide meaningful opportunities for engagement in life.  Specific program design and implementation of activities for people with dementia and I/DD will be explored.
