Course Description:

This course provides a strong overview of Medicare.  It is a primer for social workers
in the eldercare field.  The course will improve knowledge and skills that will help
Social Workers guide patients, their families, and elder clients.  It will prepare social
Workers to discuss Medicare A,B C, and D coverage; benefit enrollment periods; points at which client advocacy can improve an elder's health and life; and, where to find additional  resources to help clients explore plan options to suit individualized needs.
