Course Description:

Managing difficult behaviors in the classroom on a daily basis can be draining, leaving teachers feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. In this session, we will explore the escalation cycle, the power struggle, and how to effectively de-escalate a child who is experiencing difficulty regulating their emotions. As educators, we arefaced with the challenge of supporting students whose life experiences impact their ability to cope in our classrooms. You will be provided with a set of essential tools to teach your students self-regulation techniques and strategies to prevent difficult behaviors. Additionally, you will learn how to best support and calm a child in crisis.
