Course Description:
This two-day program addresses the problem of the client who presents to a therapist with chronic pain and associated conditions, such as fatigue, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
Didactic material will be offered on emerging concepts in pain and the role of the brain in the generation and persistence of pain. Participants will learn how to assess clients with chronic pain to better determine the role that the brain plays. We will offer detailed information on how to intervene in such cases, supported by demonstration and the opportunity to practice these skills. Ample time will be allotted for questions.
