Course Description:

As Integrated Healthcare slowly becomes the model of service delivery across Michigan, it is important that social workers be prepared to work in integrated settings.  Helping behavioral health consumers to manage their physical well-being also includes learning to make sense of common medical labs and other reports.  Develop a laypersons understanding of these documents and how to respond when critical issue arise.  Strategies for accessing the appropriate medical personal to assist consumers in getting answers are discussed.  There is a $19 charge for this workshop that includes presentation and materials.
