Course Description:

This webinar will discuss the hepatitis A outbreak in Southeast Michigan, including an overview on hepatitis A, modes of transmission, symptoms, and prevention opportunities. Speakers will highlight the significance of partnering with local and state public health departments to protect communities and high-risk individuals from contracting hepatitis A through various prevention measures, including vaccination promotion, handwashing, and disinfection. The webinar will explore opportunities for social workers to collaborate with their local health departments to help curb the hepatitis A outbreak in southeast Michigan. After the presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion.
