Course Description:

People with developmental disabilities are living longer than ever, and with longer life comes an increased risk of dementia.  This presentation is designed to help caregivers learn the risk of dementia for those with developmental disabilities; the unique signs and symptoms of dementia in this population; and how to best respond to changes in behavior, personality, communication, and self-care abilities.
