Course Description:

The content of this symposium provides the social worker with the ability to focus on Integrated Care, Addiction, Ethics, and Human Trafficking.  The symposium objectives are that the participant will be able to:

            1. Identify and apply evidence-based methods for universal screening of psychiatric disorders in medical clinics.

            2. Identify evidence-based methods for screening and treating patients with dual substance abuse and psychiatric   disorders.

            3. Apply sound ethical reasoning to complex case vignettes.

The intended audience includes physicians, advance practice providers, psychologists, social workers, and nurses.
