Course Description:

Participants will learn where there answers to the questions: if an individual is unable to participate in treatment decisions, who can make what decisions when?  The appropriateness and interrelationship among durable power of attorney, living will, don not resuscitate declaration, family consent, and guardianships.

Review of long-term care Medicaid income and asset rules, spousal protective amounts, and divestment rules.  The latest in Medicaid updates and myths about Medicaid planning will be address.  Along with rules for eligibility and how to access programs will be discussed.
