Course Description:
Have you run into a brick wall when trying to help your clients access services? Does it seem like the system is working against your client preventing them from getting the services they need? In the current climate of uncertainty and reduced funding across most support sectors, it is even more important for service workers to look to each other for shared resources, cross-referrals, and networking forums to build capacity for the needs of clients. Establishing communities of practice, increasing the use of technologically driven tools, and sharing resources that mutually benefit clients and the agencies that serve them is necessary now more than ever. This workshop will teach you how to think creatively about existing resources, how to bust barriers through simple communication, and build a network of allies in serving clients using real-life examples and successes.
