Course Description:

Participants in this program will gain a deeper understanding of what an Area Agency on Aging does to help older adults, caregivers and persons with disabilities. Various programs and services will be explained as well as how to access them, including the latest information on eligibility and waitlist status. Presenters from the Area Agency on Aging 1-B will also give an overview of the Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP), and the role of advocacy in our programs and how you can best advocate with your legislators on behalf of older adults.
