Sensory-Based Interventions for Trauma-Informed Care

Course Description:

Sensory-based interventions teaching not only the global aspects of trauma-informed care, but the specific focus of mental health occupational therapy interventions as well as interventions that other professionals, including social work and counseling, can provide to enhance sensory services for individuals and families who have been exposed to trauma.

Participants will:

- Understand the role of sensory-based interventions in trauma-informed care

- Learn sensory-based strategies for building secure attachment in the caregiver relationship

- Learn sensory-based interventions for self-regulation
