Improving Outcomes in Revenue Cycle Management. Module H. Patient
This module looks at the problem of under-insured or uninsured patients, who often need ongoing, holistic care as well as proactive patient advocacy. It begins by looking at how hospitals can start addressing the issues around uncompensated care, in part by extending their insurance counseling. Next, the module looks at specific ways that the team can help patients access better care across the continuum, both by accessing community and public health programs, and by forging better connections with patients through culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS).
