Course Description:

Throughout this presentation, common clinical complications associated with achondroplasia will be addressed as well as how the role of rehabilitation takes place. In addition, the barriers encountered by patients with achondroplasia and available modifications/adaptive equipment will be discussed and how this may be beneficial. By gaining a better understanding of achondroplasia, healthcare providers will know when clinical findings do not match known diagnosis and when they should investigate further.
