Course Description:
From privacy issues to conflicts of interest and the setting boundaries, this course explores the range of ethical issues and dilemmas that can confront case managers every day. Over the course of six modules, A through F, it first details current ethical standards of practice and then explores issues like the increasingly common use of EHRs (electronic health records) and telecare. Next, it looks at how organizational culture can influence a CM’s ethics, and how ethical issues can differ in hospital and outpatient settings.
