Course Description:
This course covers the history and treatment of Ebola virus—especially as it pertains to healthcare the U.S.— as well as the practices helpful for educating the public, treating patients in a potential outbreak and protecting healthcare workers. The course modules describe the etiology and assessment of the virus; the ethical and legal issues involved in both prevention and management, and the role of the case manager in an effective Ebola care strategy. Each of these topics is covered sequentially in Modules A through C.
