Course Description:

The purpose of this training is to teach how to assess a client and family within their environmental context in order to improve the family's functioning, resourcefulness, and resiliency. We will discuss how the Person in Environment theory can be applied during the assessment process and how this information can build on the family's strengths, leading to the development of appropriate goals, interventions, and referrals for that family. This training will utilize role playing, small and large group discussions, and visual displays.
