An Intersectional and Trauma-Informed Approach to Working with LBGTIAP+ Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence

Course Description:

This workshop will provide an overview of the domestic violence movement and how historically, those within the LBGTQ+ community have been left vulnerable to higher rates of exploitation and abuse in intimate partner relationships. Throughout the workshop, individuals will be given the tools to better equip clinicians to screen for Intimate Partner Violence, safety plan, and make appropriate therapeutic goals alongside the survivor.
